Whilst the games room will offer the opportunity to fuel the competitive spirit, it’s time peacefully spent in the gardens, or the long lingering lunches which we think you’ll remember forever.
We feel confident the whole tribe can find an escape tailored for their needs between Ridgeview’s walls. Whether its mornings spent in slumber, twilight laps of the year-round heated pool, a bracing rural hike or perhaps time simply unwinding in the jacuzzi. This is just the beginning.
A subtle Farrow and Ball colour palette creates a natural and calming ambience, while an abundance of wooden beams and natural textures give this home a cool French feel.
Eight gorgeous bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms sleeping up to 16 guests, with room for a further 2 children (for a small additional charge). Six-foot super-king beds with crisp linen sheets and tactile fabrics, make lie-ins hard to resist. With large walk-in rain showers, free-standing tubs, fresh towels, and fluffy robes, along with Bramley organic products.
A sunrise dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool, then later a glass of wine in one of the hot tubs, as the moon swings over the Exmoor Hills, you’re surrounded by the very best of Somerset.
Kids can play amongst the extensive manicured lawns with croquet, rounders, or another of the many games to hand. Grown-ups can retreat to one of the terraces or sofa’s, perhaps with a throw to offer comfort once the sun has disappeared over the Exmoor hills.
Further afield and beyond the gates, wander through the nature reserve at Langford Heath or make your way to the extraordinary beaches of Devon’s North Coast.

On the ground floor there are four bedrooms, all with super king-sized beds and all en-suite. These can be configured as doubles or as two singles upon request.
On the first floor there are a further four bedrooms, all with super king-sized beds. Two have en-suite bathrooms and two have their own bathrooms that are adjacent to the bedrooms. All rooms can be configured as doubles or as two singles upon request.
On the ground floor there is one WC by the entrance hall and a further WC within the spa room.
There is private parking for all guests on-site. There is an EV charger available by prior booking only. There is a flat charge of £50 per week, per vehicle.
Two Jacuzzi’s (one poolside and one within the Spa room heated to 37 degrees at all times), swimming pool (heated all year to a temperature between 28-30 degrees), Table tennis, American Pool table, Bonzini Football table, Cinema Room, two stocked ponds, outside “Cabana” room, BBQ area along with covered and heated terrace.
Please ensure children and pets are supervised at all times around both the pool, Jacuzzi’s and pond areas.
All TV’s have Sky Sports, Movies and all streaming channels (Netflix etc).
External areas of the house are covered by CCTV for safety and security reasons.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome on request.
Charged at £75 per week.
Dogs are permitted on the ground floor of the house only and are not allowed on any furniture.
Dogs are not permitted to be left in the house unattended.
Day: Monday or Friday arrivals from 4pm.

Yes, Ridgeview is a family friendly house, but children should be supervised by an adult at all times
Ridgeview is designed to be fun, but if you are looking for a “party” house I’m afraid we aren’t the place for your needs
Yes, the house does work for those with some limited accessibility requirements. However, Ridgeview would not be suitable for those who require wheelchair access
We do have neighbours, so we ask you are respectful and follow our house rules. We have a strict midnight curfew for the outside terraces and pool area

At Ridgeview we make every effort to be environmentally conscious with our decision making, as we reduce our carbon footprint. We have made significant investment in renewable technology include the installation of 30 solar panels to support our electrical requirement and a large Air Source heat pump, which provides 90% of the energy required to heat the swimming pool. Meaning that the total requirement of fossil fuels has been reduced by around 75%.
This combined with a water treatment plant, means that 100% of our wastewater is fully filtered on site before being returned back into the local water course.
Lastly, we provide complimentary room products from “Bramley” in all of the guest bathrooms. We use refillable bottles, therefore reducing the requirement for single use plastics. None of their products are tested on animals and all products are paraben free and do not use “microbeads”.

Having spent most of our lives, living and working in Sussex (myself in Hospitality and Vanessa an Artist), family ties drew us to relocate to Somerset in early 2018. Following the sale of our business in 2021 and the prospect of children soon to be flying the nest, we were on the lookout for a new project.
The opportunity of creating “Ridgeview” really appealed and we purchased the property in October 2022. We then spent the next six months transforming and creating, what we hope you will agree is a wonderful home for you all to enjoy.
Our sole purpose or “goal” is simple, it’s to provide you with the most glorious place to have a relaxing, yet fun time away with loved ones. To help you create the best memories of precious time, spent together.
